Announces Board of Directors
VIENNA, VA. - Feb. 10, 2003 - Emerging Technologies Group, Inc., the leading provider of software that maximizes carrier profitability through real-time business decisions based on operational intelligence, today announced the formation of its full board of directors. The new board has more than 100 years collective experience in the telecom, software and venture capital industries and brings deep and diverse leadership to Emerging Technologies Group. The board will serve in an advisory capacity, allowing the company to meet the demand for its Interconnect Business Optimization products.
Roy Gamse was elected chairman of the board. Gamse was a former executive at MCI Communications from 1982-1993, serving as vice president of consumer marketing and customer service. After leaving MCI, Gamse founded and led a youth-focused non-profit organization, then returned to the industry for several years to serve as senior vice president of marketing for LCI International. After retiring from LCI in 2000, Gamse again returned to the non-profit sector to lead several youth-focused organizations in Northern Virginia.

Gary Golding - Board Director Golding has been a venture capitalist for more than 16 years and is currently a general partner of Edison Venture Fund. Prior to Edison, Golding was with the CEO Venture Fund and was general partner and chief operating officer of CEO Venture Fund II.
John Bennett - Board Member Bennett is currently president and CEO of Sentori, a Maryland-based provider of multi-service billing, customer care and network mediation software solutions to the global communications services industry. Before heading up Sentori, Bennett held leadership positions at CMGI and CMGI Solutions.
Amir Yazdanpanah - Board Member Yazdanpanah is the co-founder of Emerging Technologies Group and is currently responsible for the strategic vision and operations of the company. He has more than 17 years of telecommunications experience, including high-level positions at Cable & Wireless and British Telecommunications.
Hormoz Hekmat - Board Member Hekmat co-founded Emerging Technologies Group and is currently charged with the business development and marketing operations within the company. He has developed software for more than 15 years and was previously engaged with the World Bank Group, ICF Consulting and Watson Wyatt Worldwide.
Shawn Zargham - Board Member Zargham is the co-founder of Emerging Technologies Group and has responsibility for the technological vision and overall product development for the company. He draws from 15 years of software development experience and his long-term tenure as a research faculty member at Yale University.
Michael Helmicki - Board Observer Helmicki is currently a principal at Edison Venture Fund and has more than a decade of entrepreneurial experience in communications, finance and professional services. He has successfully started two companies in the past. Prior to joining Edison, Helmicki served in principal positions at a global executive search firm and a diversified venture capital firm.
